Buy Stephen Gately's amazing first book - today at half price!

Before Stephen Gately's premature death in October 2009, he was working on his first novel, 'A Tree of Seasons' at his home in the Spanish island of Majorca. Better known for his success with boy band Boyzone, Gately had not publicized his aptitude for creative writing.

Described as a children's fantasy, many reviews have said that adults find it impossible to put down once they start reading it. Today it is available for less than half price from the retailers Amazon and the Book Depository.

The Tree of Seasons has four doorways, each one to separate seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter, with its own rulers, but where one evil queen wishes to overpower the others in order to take single control of them all. A moral tale of a similar character to CS Lewis' The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but aimed at a slightly younger audience, Gately's fantasy creation has a string of five star reviews according to the Amazon website. It would appear that Gately's reputation is initially selling the book, but its readers appear to be more than pleasantly surprised by its quality.
The Tree of Seasons was only released in hard cover on 13 May 2010, and is already in the best seller list and looks set to be a popular item on children's letters to Santa.
