It seems that readers just can't get enough of the Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series. Breaking Dawn was released in the summer of 2008 and is still the top of the most wanted books in our pricewatch service. In addition, Amazon is reporting 'The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner' is already in the top 10 of their best seller list and this novella is not published until June.

This story does not feature the usual love interest of Bella and Edward, which may be a disappointment to some fans. However the character Bree is an unwitting newborn vampire, cultivated by Victoria's desire to kill Bella. It all promises to be exciting stuff for fans of the vampire genre.
Stephanie Meyer has promised fans that the new book will be available to download in read only format for free just a few days after it is published for 28 days, as a thank you to dedicated fans. In addition, she will be donating $1 from each book sale to the American Red Cross.

Twilight books have sold over 100 million copies worldwide and Stephanie Meyer's success does not appear to be limited to the teen cult books. Her new book 'The Host' is a science fiction story aimed at adults and is receiving excellent reviews. As the title suggests, humans are being invaded by hidden enemies within and controlling their minds. The central character Melanie is the host to the invader 'Wanderer', but Melanie proves to be a bit of a test to Wanderers ability to take charge of her mind, and instead of being able to take advantage of Melanie's knowledge of the whereabouts of other humans, Wanderer finds herself being captivated by a love interest.
