Home Cooking Revived

19 October 2011

Home cooking is currently enjoying quite a renaissance. Perhaps this is because financial constraints on the family budget is helping us find a long forgotten ability to cook our own meals, perhaps it's because of an awareness of healthy eating and a desire to know exactly what we are consuming or perhaps it's the popularity of certain T.V. programmes which have encouraged a "can do" attitude in the most amateur cook. Whatever the reason, we want to cook, digging out forgotten recipes, enjoying the gorgeous smell and anticipation of something slowly cooking in the oven.  As well as saving money on expensive mass produced and often seriously unhealthy prepared meals from the supermarket, cooking your own is so therapeutic and children are much more inclined to eat food which they have helped to prepare and cook.

This is where we may just begin to panic. Think of the mess, what if it's a disaster, it's all too difficult, but fear not because help is at hand and where better to start than with;
