Christopher is the winner of Find Book September review competition

Our Thanks and Congratulations go to Christopher for his first class review of William Faulkner's "The Sound and the Fury" (Vintage Classics). The book received critical acclaim and was placed in 6th place on the Modern Library's list of 100 best English language novels.
In 1949 Faulkner received the Nobel Prize in literature. We would like to thank Christopher for reminding us of this great classic novel.

The Sound and the Fury is an emotionally powerful and thought-provoking novel, the complexity of which is impossible to do full justice in a short review. It is a book that, to be fully understood, needs to be read and then perhaps read a second time for it is a novel that, like poetry, has the essential quality that upon subsequent readings it shall appear different, revealing things to the reader that at first remained secret - it shall, in short, be a new book.
