Authors Hilary Mantel or Barbara Kingsolver for the Orange Prize for Fiction?

William Hill has released the odds for the Orange Prize for Fiction, with Hilary Mantel's Booker Prize winning 'Wolf Hall' just ahead of 'The Lacuna' by Barbara Kingsolver. The Orange Prize celebrates its 15th year since its launch, tonight at London's Southbank centre, ahead of the Orange Prize readings, scheduled for Tuesday 8th June, where the nominated authors will be reading extracts and discussing their books. The readings event will be chaired by lead judge Daisy Goodwin and tickets are still available.
The winner of the Orange Prize for Fiction will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Royal Festival Hall on Wednesday 9th June.

The Orange Prize is committed to highlighting the literature produced by women, including research and education; some interesting surveys have been conducted on literature choice and gender, including a shadow male jury which demonstrated a distinctly different selection criteria between men and women.
