May's book review winner: 'The Complete Maus'

Last month's book review competition winning entry was for the controversial Pulitzer Prize winning book, 'The Complete Maus', by Art Spiegelman. The story is a biography about the author's father who survived the Holocaust. The controversy about this work is that it was written as a cartoon comic book. However, far from trivialising, this creation depicts the full horror of the Nazi genocide in a way that allows the reader to obtain a real sense of what millions of people must have experienced.
