Lost Man Booker Prize Winner announced tomorrow

In March we featured the Lost Man Booker Prize; the award for the books that appeared before the rule change in 1971 that would only allow judging of books that were published outside the prior twelve months.  This meant that several amazing books were not considered for the 1971 Booker Prize. The Lost Man Booker Prize aims to redress the anomaly and ensure recognition for the literature . The Six shortlisted books can be quite difficult to source. The 2010 Man Booker Prize long list will be announced on 27th July. This is a list of 50 of the best nominated books of the calendar year between April 2009 and March 2010. The Shortlist of 6 will be selected by the judges and announced on 7th September. The Man Booker Prize winner will be announced on 12th October. 2009 Prize Winner, Hilary Mantell has achieved outstanding acclaim for her book, Wolf Hall, mainly for its sheer brilliance, but in part due to the prestige to which the Man Booker Prize is associated.
