Amazon and The Book Depository in half price book war?

It seems that a book price war may be taking place between some of our retailers, many of whom appear to be clamouring to offer the best prices on some of the most popular new book publications. Amazon UK and the Book Depository seem to be very closely matched with their prices at the moment, often with The Book Depository and  Amazon appearing with as little as 1p price difference. Similarly, the Book Depository is offering free world wide delivery to equal Amazons delivery options.

Ironically – the book entitled Half Price Living is only available from a handful of retailers, with the best saving we could find from the book depository, providing a mere £1.93 discount. However this was much a better saving than Amazons, who are charging the full price of £8.99.
