Ex-Sun editor David Yelland has written 'The Truth About Leo', a children's book that follows a ten year old boy who watches his dad battle with alcoholism. The book is based on Yelland's own experiences struggling with the addiction and is his debut novel.

Yelland stopped drinking in 2005 and lives near London with his Son. He began writing 'The Truth about Leo' in 2006 and at a recent book industry event he revealed that he is not the father in the book, but says "he is the man I nearly was".

The book will be published by Penguin in April next year.
