Then there is the business of Phuti's apprentice Charlie, who, when his girlfriend gives birth to twins and he is pressurized to marry her, decides the only way to avoid responsibility is to run away. However he hasn't reckoned with the intervention of Mma Ramotwe who, with the assistance of Grace, is on hand to help sort things out for the young couple.There's also the severe problem of Violet Sephotho and her determination to run for Parliament which can only mean trouble for Mma Ramotswe's beloved Botswana. Once again the tale unfolds with all the hallmarks of the story telling of Alexandra McCall Smith.
