The Pocket Guide to Life Skills Book

My name is Cedric A. Dobson. I was born and raised in rural southeastern North Carolina. I obtained my bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and my master?s in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. I have a wife of fifteen years. We have an eleven-year-old son. This is my first attempt at writing something that was not technical. I was a big fan of consumer reporter Clark Howard in Atlanta, Georgia, when I lived there from 1999 to 2006. I also listened to John Adams talk about real estate and Mike Kavanagh?s Money Matters show. In talking to friends, coworkers, and relatives I discovered that these shows on AM talk radio did not appeal to many people that could benefit from their information. I recognized that the information had to be presented in a different way in order to reach more people. I wanted to deliver a format different from a book that would sit on a shelf.
