This book provides an alphabetical listing of all the Regiments and Corps of the British Army that were in existence when war was declared on 4 August 1914, its scope being the Regular Army, Special Reserve, Territorial Force, contingents of the Officers Training Corps and other recognized cadet units. It is intended to help researchers - military, local and family, professional or amateur to establish what constituted the British Army on the eve of the Great War and to easily find the location of each unit.
