Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang Book

A sequel to the book written by Christianna Brand, who died in 1988. Following on from the success of the film, Nanny McPhee has been given a new lease of life by the actress Emma Thompson, who starred in the leading role in the original movie. Ms Thompson has written the novel, screenplay and stars again in the second movie soon to go on general release. This wonderful adventure story starts with the country dwelling Green family; the long suffering mother tries to cope with very challenging naughty children who have managed to dispose of a long line of nannies at the same time as running the farm. The Green family's lives are set to get exciting with the arrival of their rude and stuck up cousins, who come to visit them from the town. Mother cannot cope with all the chaos, especially as her husband is away serving in the war. The plan is to resolve the pandemonium with the arrival of Nanny McPhee, although with the magic of children sharing bedrooms with elephants, it was perhaps an optimistic expectation.
