Lady in Waiting Book
This is a story about Lady Anne Neville as well as her husband, Richard Duke of Gloucester later Richard III. It controversially portrays Anne as a strong woman, on the basis that in the medieval period the upper class women were expected to run all their husband's households, whether great castles or a manor house. We only have the Tudor history that says she and Edward were weak and history is written by the victors. I have tried to follow history but have had to use my imagination as little is known about Anne, so any mistakes are mine for which I apologise. We do not know much about Anne, so I have told her story based on how women in the Middle Ages are thought to have behaved. Any other characters are fictitious, apart from Geoffrey Richardson & Domus. My main source book on the Nevilles was The Lordly Ones by G. Richardson. My partner at the time encouraged me and drew the pictures. Though what happened to us and me or P. Womack, is true.Read More
