Mike Kenny wins book review competition with Pratchett's Unseen Academicals

Sir Terry Pratchett (knighted in 2009) began his Discworld series with The Colour of Magic in 1983 and since that time the enormous popularity has escalated with each new release invariably topping the Sunday Times Best seller list and placing Terry Pratchett as the best selling author of the 1990's. Unseen Academicals is the 37th book in The Discworld series, and is the subject of this month's winning entry to the Find Book Review Competition.
Mike Kenny has provided a tantalising taste of what can be expected in Unseen Academicals, with the use of the game of football as the essential setting at the Unseen University sure to have a considerable appeal.
For those of you who have not read any of the Discworld series and would be uncertain where to start, Unseen Academicals can be read as a standalone novel. Some of the Discworld series are grouped collectively as story arcs and continue on a common theme or set of characters. However, if you haven't read any and plan to start from the beginning, you may well be advised to take a gap year if you want to stand a chance of catching up as the 38th novel, I Shall Wear Midnight, has already been released.
