A Lifetime of Love: Poems on the Passages of Life Book

"We are star-met. We are joined. We are blessed. We who have found each other. We are the dream of the ages. We are the hope, the desire. We are love." With this tender and contemplative collection of poetry, multifaceted poet, actor, and director Leonard Nimoy welcomes us into his world of quiet reflection and joyous love. Best known for his role as Mr. Spock in the enormously popular television and film series STAR TREK, Nimoy takes us along with him on a soul-searching journey in which he explores his innermost thoughts, feelings, and fears, exposing love's fragility, warmth, and overwhelming presence in his life. Profoundly mindful of the need all people have to love and be loved, to laugh and to cry, to give as well as to receive comfort and understanding, Nimoy displays a range of complex and varied emotions in this deeply moving compilation. His words capture the tenderness and intimacy between two people standing together, united against any hardship, searching for the light to take them to their dreams, and blessed by the pure and simple delight of having each other to hold and share life with. Written over the course of his lifetime, these poems go deep inside the mind and the heart of a very thoughtful and passionate man to reveal the unfettered happiness, unconditional acceptance, and unmistakable resolve that reside there. Wonderfully insightful and refreshingly candid, A LIFETIME OF LOVE is an enchanting portrait of a life that has been touched in every way by love. In his own words... "We are the dreamers. We are the dancers. Life is the music. Love is the song." - Leonard NimoyRead More
