8 years after it was bought for me as a birthday gift this is still the funniest book I've ever read. I return to it regularly if I need a laugh. My wife has banned me from reading it in bed as just looking at the phrase "Cheggars Plays God" is enough to reduce me to a giggling mass. What's amazing is that its depiction of fictional, barrel scraping television is even more pertinent now than it was at the turn of the millenium.
