 | Upon first coming across this book, I became drawn that this book had a fuller version of the kind of impact that anorexia/ bulimia can have on a family. It didn't just deal with the limited viewpoint that the actual sufferer would provide, but went a whole lot deeper and the reader is able to see how this devastating illness affects the parent, who watches the child suffer, and the child themselves dealing (or not) with this - the emotions, the turmoil and heartbreak are revealed. It also provides a professional analysis of this mother/ daughter eating disorder diary, and equips the reader with invaluable insight in how to avoid this eating disorder, or to help them if they are already suffering from this.This book shows how the importances of gaining professional help and from your own family, is one of the most fundamental aspects of overcoming this illness.
