 | My first encounter with Graham Masterton, and while the book is readable, as a horror story I didn't find it desperately convincing. Tends to get bogged down in the middle, and a shorter version would have been better. The Polish names are a distraction (at least for British readers) and the goodies rather disappointingly win in the end. Not enough suspense to keep me gripped and the blood and gore is overdone. The best is left till last as the book drives towards its conclusion in the sewers ... read more.
