 | Despite the fact that this was quite a good book and the first in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, I couldn't quite bring myself to give it 4 stars because I was strongly reminded of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series. I can even match the characters - Ward's Wrath is a bit like Kenyon's Acheron, Zsadist like Zarek, Thorment like Kyrian. I really enjoyed the mythology in the Dark-Hunter series and maybe I was expecting too much from the first book in this series but it felt like it was missing something.
