I have almost finished the 2nd one. Its a really good course. The course has to be used with the tapes, or its no use. These are expensive but its really worth getting them, and using this course with other sources, such as the BBC courses.Okay, whats good about it is that it talks real venacular French, not the stilted GCSE rubbish that a lot of other courses teach you. So you hear the language as its really spoken and learn to pick up the common phrases and words and essentially how they are put together. My understanding soared after just the first third of the book.Its grammer sections are well broken down and give clear examples, and plenty of practice. Its not a grammer course per se, but that which it does teach is really clearly explained, for idiots like me.I'd like to do the 3rd course but have had trouble finding it in the shops.The French guy who speaks English half way through the course though, has a really odd accent.
