Amazon remove Macmillan ebooks

Online giant Amazon has stopped selling ebooks by publisher Macmillan, after a disagreement over pricing resulted in the retailer removing all Macmillan books from their American website.

Amazon have been selling Macmillan ebooks at a discounted rate, but the publishers contested the lower pricing and asked Amazon to increase the price to match that on the Apple ebook store.

Since Amazon removed Macmillan ebooks, there has been uproar and it is now rumoured that Amazon will have to reinstate the books on to their website, at a higher price to match Apple.
