 | This book really does do what it says on its cover. If you like murder mysteries and gay erotica, or preferably both, this book has it all. Re-enter Mitch, Lear's American amateur sleuth. No one is better than Mitch at sniffing out the bodies - mostly those of his fellow male passengers on a rocky ride on the Flying Scotsman. From the cute young porter, Arthur, to a group of licentious and enthusiastic Scottish soldiery, to Bertrand, the young Belgian who sheds inhibitions and clothing with anything byt monotonous regularity, Mitch lusts after them all. And with Mitch, where there is a will there is usually a way. His fellow travellers prove pleasingly accommodating and Lear's heroes are all priapically prodigious and copiously productive. Throw into this mix a cast of Agatha Christie style supporting characters and a 1920s murder mystery and you have a heady brew. Unabashed, explicit, joyous and written with pace and verve, this is Lear on sparkling form. read more.
