 | This book was written for me. Or so I believed. I am a relatively experienced user of the various Microsoft operating systems in home and office environments but, until recently, I had never used Windows 2000 Professional outside the workplace. I was all set to enrol for a course at night school until I remembered the "Dummies" series I discovered years ago when suddenly confronted with the brand new Windows 95. I have used several "Dummies" titles since and have looked on their authors as the ideal teachers most of us never had: gentle, endlessly patient, ready with a joke, and never ever making you feel like as though you really are a dummy. This book is the 'friendly guide' it claims to be, but it is by no means an 'ideal introduction' to Windows 2000 Professional.
