 | This is a brilliant end to Meg Cabot's strongest series. It's well plotted, keeps you guessing and has the brilliant, feisty, Suze. She seems a lot more "grown up" than Cabot's other heriones, is a lot more interesting to read about and definitely never has the whingey tendencies of Mia from the Princess Diaries series.
This series, I felt, didn't start fanatastically, but by the fourth book it had me absolutely gripped and I was not disappointed by its conclusion. However, you will be distraught that there are to be no more Mediator books, not because the ending is unsatisfactory, but because it is so incredibly well written.
I would draw slight similarities between this and the excellent "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer which is also a romantic story with supernatural themes, however, I would say this series aims at a slightly lower age range (approximately 12- 16).
