Cold Blood |
|
 | The last in the series of three books on Lorraine Page's career as an ex cop, alcoholic and private investigator. As with the first two books; Cold Heart and Cold Shoulder, Cold Blood is completely "unputdownable" and has a brilliant, but sad ending for those who have grown to love and admire the main character Lorraine Page (There always seemed to be a happy ending in the future for this lady but it was not to be)! However, there is a happier ending for her two best friends who have been in the story of her life since Cold Shoulder. Typically of La Plante, the research involved in writing the book is second to none and even taught me a few things about the voodoo religion which I would never have bothered to find out about otherwise. Lynda La Plante at her best but you should read Cold Shoulder and Cold Heart before but not absolutely necessary. read more.
